This Orange Custom Retro 50 is the bees knees. Everyone who uses it pretty much says it’s the best amp they’ve ever heard for distorted sounds. I completely agree. I don’t loan it out anymore. This amp now resides in the Sharky H. Towers private reserve. You wanna use the Krank? Sure. The Orange? No.

Another shot of the JMP. The thing has been restored by Tom Phillips (great guy, have him work on your amps if you can get him to) and now it does the Marshall thing pretty well. Sounds like a JCM800. It kind of gives you instant Jawbreaker when you crank it up and start blazing.

This is a ‘76,’77 or ‘78 JMP that Derrick bought from Cowboy Star (R.I.P.) in Santa Barbara in 1999 or 2000. It was notably used on Bad Astronaut’s song “Greg’s Estate” and was notably blown up by Leon (Chris Rest) while practicing with RKL during one of their numerous reunions earlier this decade.

I’ve set up a new site to coincide with the digital release of “Death & Taxes: Volume One”. You can still look at the old site at http://old.jawsattacks.com. You’ll have to resubscribe to the RSS feed, and if you’re a fan I suggest you do that as I’ll be putting a whole pile of goodies in the stream. I’ll be putting up rough mixes and tracks from my work on “Death & Taxes: Volume Two” (due out sometime this decade) as well as some old stuff and random tracks from projects I’m producing. Keep it tight.
